Captain Parker was phenomenal. He knew exactly where to go to make sure we saw all the wildlife we wanted. We saw 2 kinds of whales, sea lions, bald eagles, otters, salmon, jelly fish, and more!
Book with them directly. No need to use an aggregate site that charges this small business a large commission.

We had a great day exploring the waters around Sitka. We saw a sea lion, sea otters, eagles and 4 or 5 whales. We loved getting out of town and on a small boat to get a semi-private tour. There was just one other family and us with Captain Parker. He was very professional, communicated well and was kind and helpful. We would definitely choose this excursion again. Side note, we were visiting from our Royal Caribbean cruise ship which docs outside of the city. We road the free shuttle along with hundreds (if not thousands) of others from the pier into Sitka where we met Captain Parker down on the waterfront. The tip I would give is to give yourself plenty of time (maybe an hour) from getting off the cruise ship because even though the ride is only 15 minutes into Sitka, the lines to get on the shuttle were very long. There were probably 300 people in lines ahead of us even after they called us by groups off the ship. So it took us at least a half hour from the time we disembarked to the time we got in the shuttle. The shuttle dropped us off at the Pavilion right on the waterfront and next to the dock where we met Captain Parker so finding him was very easy. Overall a very enjoyable day.
Amazing tour! Great adventure on a nice size boat. This made the trip so amazing and felt
like a private tour. Parker is a phenomenal tour guide! I would enthusiastically recommend
this if you’re cruising to Sitka.
If you do any tour in Sitka, choose this one. You won't regret it! Captain Parker was a great guide and helped everyone on board to thoroughly enjoy and understand what we needed to be on the lookout for. He did everything in his power to get us to the places where we could see maximum wildlife. Of course, there is no guarantee anyone will see wildlife but we were fortunate and saw so much: Humpback Whales, Sea Lions, Brown Bears and Bald Eagles. The sea and scenery are just stunning.
We were three generations of women, including my 84 year old mother and my daughter. All of us loved this excursion.
Highly, highly recommend this whale watching and wildlife tour. Great memories were made.
This is THE tour that you want to take: absolutely amazing. Parker is the COOLEST tour guide you could ask for! Super communicative, texting you throughout to make sure you know where to go. He was on the radio and phone constantly, trying to help make sure we were in the best spot possible to see things. Clearly loves what he does and puts in the effort to share as much wildlife as he can. We saw tons of whales, otters, and eagles. We got word there were Orcas and he didn’t even hesitate—full throttle to go find them. We not only saw the Orcas but Parker stayed out past our tour time to follow them, and he was just as excited as we were!
If you want a tour where you see tons of cool marine life, with someone that genuinely loves what they do, then this is where you want to be!

We went with captain Parker today and it was a wonderful trip. We first went to see otters, then went near St Lazaria island to see different puffins and eagles, and went to see humpback whales. The fact that it was a private trip also made it all the better since we were able to prioritize what we wanted to see. Overall a great trip and a wonderful day!
We had the opportunity to see several whales, salmon, seals and sea otters. Parker was a
fantastic guide and made sure we saw what we had anticipated to see plus more. I highly

If you are looking for a whale watching experience in a smaller group (there were four of us total) with an amazing captain, then this is the adventure for you! Multiple whales, sea otters, bald eagles, even some fat sea lions. Absolutely incredible experience!
Parker was an unbelievable guide and a great person to talk to on the tour. His boating skills were great, even with all the boat traffic. Definitely would recommend to everyone else. There was a lot of whale activity on our tour and we got some great pictures (even with an iPhone). There was word on the radio that there wasn’t much bear activity that morning so he took us to an island (which was a bird sanctuary) where we got to see a huge cave. Overall a great experience.
We had the best time with Parker! We saw whales, sea otters, sea lions, and a bear! And we never had to jostle around dozens of other people to get the best views. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and was exactly what we hoped it would be. Make your reservation now!
Parker was the best guide we could’ve asked for. Unlike the huge tours the cruises take you on, he gave us a personalized, private tour. We were a group of 5 on our own boat with Parker. Parker wants his guests to have a personalized and fantastic experience. He himself was excited and passionate about the whales.
Best of all, he heard on the radio orcas were in the area, and immediately BOLTED full throttle towards them. We followed them around for an hour and watched them hunt for porpoises! It was straight out of National Geographic. He even extended the tour so we could watch the orcas even more. He seems to be well liked and works great with his fellow captains in the area. He shared the location of every whale we saw with other captains. While some of it is due to luck, luck favors the prepared, and Parker was prepared. You know when you book with him, you’ll get a personalized experience. We are so lucky to have found him.
I cannot emphasize this enough. This does not feel like a tour. It felt like we were a group of friends with a boat.
We loved our trip to Alaska and one of the highlights was our afternoon with Captain Parker on his boat. He took us on a beautiful boat ride right to where we saw lots of whales, also saw eagles, salmon jumping, several eagles, sea lions and otters. He is local and really knows the area and was wonderful to communicate with us. He picked us up in town and drop us right off where our cruise ship was parked. It was really special to just be the four of us and him, very personal experience. Highly recommend!

Parker and Mike were terrific. Being Alaskan natives they had a LOT of great information
about the surrounding areas the islands and of course the whales. We even got to see a few
see otters! You were very lucky to see a lot of whales that day! I would do this tour again!

Captain Parker was incredible !!! Amazing wildlife tour! One of the best I’ve been on. We saw a bear, an eagle, otters, jumping salmon and a whale really close up! What a great experience!!!!! Highly recommend this tour. Great service and fun adventure!
The entire trip was amazing, from meeting Parker at the top of the ramp (his enthusiasm is contagious) to seeing all of the wildlife! We started with an otter spotting, rolled up in kelp. Then we went on a whale search, which we found, and then we moved on to see the flying salmon, with amazing scenery on the way.

This was amazing, we saw so many whales, a couple humpback and a ton of gray whales. Highly recommend the small private tour vs a large group/boat.

I have been on a lot of wildlife watching tours and this by far exceeded any I have been on. The boat captain took his time to make sure we got to see whales in action and boy did we!! This excursion has been the highlight of our trip so far. When I come back to Sitka, I plan to book this tour again. Sitka Expeditions is the tour to book!

Bears, only problem we found is not enough information where to find the boat!
Amazing whale watching and nature tour. This is a smaller boat so it feels like a private tour for the same cost as the large tours. Parker is an amazing tour guide. If you’re cruising to Sitka, you have to book this tour!
